Dawes Super Galaxy Tandem in very good condition. Size 21 1/2" front and 20" rear (center of crank axle to top of seat tube). This size is suitable for a Captain 5'-6" to 5'-9" tall and a Stoker 5'-1" to 5'-4" tall. Made in the UK in 1990 of Reynolds 531tandem tubing. "Marathon" style frame is lightweight and extremely strong with great lateral rigidity. Alloy rims with 40 spokes for extra strength. Shimano components. Triple chainset with 6-gear freewheel for 18 speeds. Weinmann cantilever brakes (front and rear) provide excellent stopping power. There is also an Arai rear drum brake activated by a racheting lever which allows controlled braking on long downhills without overheating of the cantilever brakes. Set up for touring with front and rear pannier racks and Esge lightweight fenders.
