1988 Cannondale

1988 “Made in the USA” Cannondale -- I hate to part with this tandem. It has been great but it is time to reduce the number of tandems I have. I bought this in the early 90s from a friend of mine that worked at Cannondale In the New England area. It has bullet proof 48 Spoked wheels with Phil Wood hub and are still very true. The frame can handle at least 1.375" tires. The rear hub is threaded for a hub brake which I never needed so I sold it a few years ago. According to the serial number, it was manufactured in 1988 and was the 14th one of that year. According to AI, 1988 was the first year that Cannodale made tandems so you are getting a REAL classic here!! The bike has a few scratches. I cleaned and lubed (including the eccentric) most of the parts and it is working well. No creaking or noise from any of the components.No deflection when both riders stand. Just a super stable ride!
