This is not just any tandem. It is a Da Vinci "Global Venture" independent drive machine. If you are not familiar with independent drive, you simply must try it. And if you prefer the purist non-independent mode, the drivetrain can be locked just like a regular tandem. But you would still get the benefit of the patented drive train which adds a fourth front chain ring for increased range of gears. Upgraded to front disc brake. It is all titanium and S&S coupled so that it can be broken down for travel or shipping. The bike is 20 years old, but has been lovingly cared for that whole time. It was built by the owner of DaVinci to bring to bike dealer shows. This bike has been on numerous European adventures. Check out the pictures from four of our trips: Austrian Village, Taking a Break in Tuscany, Midi-Pyrenees Region of France, Cobbles in Dordogne France, Swiss Alps(2). Included are various racks and bags (shown on the bike) for storing gear while riding. Thule Tandem Bike Rack included.
